स्वसङ्कल्पानुरूपार्थो वत्सवत्सपरूपधृक् ।यथावत्सक्रियारूपो यथास्थाननिवेशनः॥
svasaṅkalpānurūpārtho vatsavatsaparūpadhṛk ·yathāvatsakriyārūpo yathāsthānaniveśanaḥ
who brings things to be exactly as he wills
'Whose purpose unfolds by his own will' — Brahmā's act of stealing the children was not a setback but exactly what Kṛṣṇa willed; the entire vimohana served his teaching of māyā.

'Who took on the forms of calves and cowherd boys' — for a full year, Kṛṣṇa multiplied himself into all the stolen calves and cowherds, fooling every parent and friend.

'Acting just as the actual calves and boys had acted' — Kṛṣṇa's counterfeit children behave so exactly like their originals that even the mothers and the actual mothers of the calves cannot tell the difference.
settling each in its rightful place
'Placing them in their proper places' — Kṛṣṇa-as-the-calves returns to the same stables; Kṛṣṇa-as-the-boys returns to the same homes; not a detail of daily life is disrupted by Brahmā's theft.
