प्रशस्तनामकरणो जानुचङ्क्रमणोत्सुकः ।व्यालम्बिचूलिकारत्नो घोषगोपप्रहर्षणः॥

eager to crawl about on his knees

The transition from rolling infant to crawling toddler is noted with tender observation; the village is delighted by the child crawling across the goṣṭha.

124 vyālambicūlikāratnaḥ

with a jewel dangling on his topknot

As the child crawls, the jewelled hair-pin (cūlikā) that Yaśodā tied in his curls swings back and forth; this image of the crawling Lord with swinging ornaments is celebrated in bhakti poetry.

125 ghoṣagopapraharṣaṇaḥ

the delight of the cowherds of the settlement

The crawling, grasping, laughing toddler delights every inhabitant of the goṣṭha; the gopīs crowd around to watch him walk.
