The Names in This Verse (4)

51 svabhāvotkṛṣṭasadbhāvaḥ

of innately exalted, true being

S.B.G 10.3.14

'Of supremely exalted natural being' — Devakī's prayer describes how his very nature transcends all beings; he exists in his own luminosity without external support.

52 kṛṣṇāṣṭamyantasambhavaḥ

born at the close of the dark-fortnight aṣṭamī

Janmāṣṭamī

S.B.G 10.3.1

Born at the end of the Kṛṣṇa-pakṣa-aṣṭamī — the eighth day of the waning moon, in Rohiṇī nakṣatra, at midnight; an auspicious cosmic alignment.

53 prājāpatyarkṣasambhūtaḥ

born under the constellation of Prajāpati

Rohiṇī nakṣatra

S.B.G 10.3.1

Born under the Rohiṇī nakṣatra (associated with Prajāpati); S.B.G describes the sky was clear of clouds at that moment despite the monsoon storms.

54 niśīthasamayoditaḥ

arisen at the hour of midnight

S.B.G 10.3.1

Appeared at midnight — the exact hour is noted; stars, sacred fires, and wind manifest auspicious signs; the prison falls quiet as if in reverent attendance.
