Kṛṣṇa drags the mortar between the twin Arjuna trees; the mortar catches; he pulls; both enormous trees crash to earth, revealing the now-freed sons of Kubera in their divine forms.

'Praised by the sons of Kubera (dhanada = treasurer)' — freed from their tree-state, Nala-kūvara and Maṇi-grīva deliver a magnificent hymn of recognition to Kṛṣṇa before departing to their celestial abodes.

After the trees crash, Nanda and the cowherds come running; they find Kṛṣṇa still tied to the mortar in the wreckage; Nanda himself unties the child, marvelling at his miraculous escape.
