The Names in This Verse (4)

88 yamunāpūravidhvaṃsī

queller of the Yamunā's flood

the river subsides for the crossing

S.B.G 10.3.51

Who dispersed the Yamunā's flood — the swollen Yamunā automatically parts to allow Vasudeva passage; the text says the river was eager to touch the Lord's feet.

89 svabhāsodbhāsitavrajaḥ

who lit up Vraja with his own radiance

S.B.G 10.3.52

Who illumined Vraja with his own radiance — as Vasudeva arrives in Gokula carrying the newborn, the whole village floods with an inexplicable light before dawn.

90 kṛtātmavidyāvinyāsaḥ

who established the knowledge of the Self

S.B.G 10.3.37

Who established ātmavidyā — at the birth, Vasudeva receives direct Self-knowledge through the cosmic vision; the child-form that follows is the teaching made visible.

91 yogamāyāgrasambhavaḥ

who took birth in concert with Yogamāyā

the goddess born to Yaśodā the same night

S.B.G 10.2.6

Born through Yoga-māyā's agency — the Lord instructs Yoga-māyā to facilitate the entire birth: the embryo transfer, the birth itself, the exchange, the guards' sleep.
